Many of us associate the holidays with cooler weather and snuggling up on the couch with a cozy blanket and warm cup of, well, something warm! One of my favorites is a hot cup of tea – and I know I’m not the only one!
I love a good cup of green tea, hot or cold, which is why this recipe is absolutely perfect – it can be enjoyed both ways! The inspiration behind this drink came from my dad. Every morning, he brews a 32 oz WECK jar of green tea with fresh ginger and a cinnamon stick – one for him and one for my mom. There is something about the smell of warm ginger and cinnamon that is hard to beat!
I wanted to add something that would make this extra-special, and I had a TON of pomegranates lying around (they are one of my favorites to have in the winter!!) so I popped them into my cup and instantly fell in love! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!! Let me know in the comments below!!
Tip: if you have more pomegranate seeds than you can eat at a time – freeze them!! It makes their flavor pop even more once you take them out!
